Government Shutdown: Make an Emergency Gift

The ongoing government shutdown combined with high and rising costs of essentials in our area is causing a spike in hunger in Alameda County. Nearly 180,000 community members did not receive SNAP benefits starting Nov 1, that they rely on to buy groceries.

Importantly, 15,000-20,000 people in Alameda County will also lose their SNAP benefits permanently due to federal cuts in HR1 starting this month.
