Piedmont Council Scouting for Food
Piedmont Council Scouting for Food
The Piedmont Scout Council has a long history of community service. For 40 years, Scouts have collected non-perishable food for the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB). This year on Saturday, November 2nd, they will continue the tradition.
In 2023, Scouts collected more than 7,600 pounds (6,000+ meals) of food thanks to you! While Piedmont Council collects food in-person, you can also donate to the ACCFB through the virtual food drive here until November 30th. In 2023 the community raised over $9000 from our virtual drive and collected donations.
One of every five Alameda County residents rely on the food bank for assistance; two-thirds of those are children and the elderly. Every $1 donated through this virtual food drive becomes 2 meals for children, adults, and seniors in our community.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need. Remember, a Scout is kind!
