Piedmont Council Scouting for Food

The Piedmont Scout Council has a long history of community service. For over 30 years, Scouts have collected non-perishable food for the Alameda County Community Food Bank and this year on Saturday, November 12th they will continue the tradition. In 2021 we collected more than 9,000 pounds of food thanks to you! While we collect food in-person, you can additionally donate here during our virtual food drive through December 1st. Last year we raised over $4,500, and this year we’re hoping to double that number. One of every five Alameda County residents rely on the food bank for assistance, and two-thirds of those are children and the elderly. Every $1 donated through our virtual food drive becomes 2 meals for children, adults, and seniors in our community. Thank you for your generosity and for helping make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need. Remember, a Scout is kind!
