Volunteers: Your gift
will go twice as far!

From Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, all gifts made by volunteers like you will be doubled, up to $50,000! This is an exclusive chance for our volunteers to amplify their support.

This matching grant is possible thanks to a small group of anonymous donors. Don't miss this chance to double your donation.

Share Your Holidays

It's already the end of October, and the holidays are in full swing for us. This is our busiest time, as family budgets are stretched thin and our whole community comes together to meet the holiday demand.

How can you help? Set up your own fundraising page for the Food Bank! Our new tool lets you fundraise and provide fresh food for families in our community.

By “donating” your holiday in lieu of receiving gifts, or just pulling your family and friends together to fundraise, you’ll be ensuring no plate is empty this season. Get started today!

Bouncing Off the Walls With SquashDrive

What happens when you channel the energy of 25 young squash players into volunteering? A lot of produce gets sorted.

Since 2013, local youth non-profit SquashDrive has brought 100 plus of its squash players to volunteer in our warehouse, totaling more than 300 volunteer hours. We love the enthusiasm they bring for volunteering every time they bounce through our doors!

Fueling Our Warehouse

In late September, 102 Chevron employees gave 302 hours of their time and energy. (And that was all in one week!)

For years, hundreds of Chevron employees have helped us sort our produce and get it out into our community, both during their annual volunteer week and year-round. Plus, the company donates on behalf of employees who volunteer at least 20 hours per year—further encouraging them to spend time in our warehouse!

Our newest teammate, Tessa

If you’ve volunteered over the last few months, you’ve probably already met Tessa, our new Volunteer Services Associate!

Before joining our volunteer team full-time, Tessa logged 67 hours volunteering with us in just a few short months. This wasn’t her first experience putting her time and energy towards ending hunger, though. She’s actually been volunteering with food banks since she was 14. If you find yourself with extra time on the floor – ask her about knitting, the Pacific Northwest, or why she loves volunteering!

You're invited!

Before the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s time to recognize the impact of your efforts. We’re looking forward to seeing you at our Winter Volunteer Luncheon!

When: Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 11:30 a.m.

RSVP by Nov. 3 to volunteer.rsvp@accfb.org

Volunteers needed!

The Saturday before Thanksgiving is one of the year's biggest grocery shopping days—and it also kicks off Safeway’s and NBC’s Feed the Need food drive. How do we pull it off? Volunteers!

Last year, our volunteers helped us collect nearly 150,000 meals on kick-off weekend!

Sign up for a shift collecting bags of food at your local Safeway on November 19.

Don't forget to donate at Whole Foods!

Come November, team up with Whole Foods and KPIX5 to provide holiday meals by simply making a gift at the register.

Give a gift that nourishes
